WHO WE ARE

ChildFund Japan Philippine Branch (formerly ChildFund Japan Philippine Office) is committed to upholding the rights of the child and has been working for the welfare of Filipino children.

The sponsorship program of ChildFund Japan in the Philippines dates back to 1975, when it decided to pay forward the support they received from ChildFund International (formerly Christian Children’s Fund) since 1952, during the nation’s recovery from World War II. In April 2023, ChildFund Japan in the Philippines transitioned from a local entity to a branch office. It is accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Today, we serve deprived, excluded, and vulnerable communities by providing educational support to children and capability building to families. We provide health education, skills training, and income-generating projects that capacitate communities to raise their children.

Under the three-pillar operation of ChildFund Japan, we work in the areas of education, child protection, disaster risk reduction, and emergency relief to safeguard children’s rights.
